The Author

One of the seven sayings in Christian meditation is written in Luke 23:34 where Jesus forgives his tormentors saying, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." To me, the concepts of spirituality and religion (which for me is Peace and Love) are most effective when based on who we INclude, not who we EXclude.  For many who have experienced religious exclusion, the solution they've chosen has been to back away altogether.  But we must remember: Church folks are only human, and even the best intentions can make horrific mistakes that hurt. Keep it moving.  God is good all the time, and you can let no one steal your joy.  Be not discouraged, but comforted in that your faith is yours. No one can take this Love from you.  Be relentlesss in the pursuit of your faith and demand in the face of obstacles to continue growth in relationship with God. Relax. You are free to decide.  Keep your heart & eyes on the Light.

A strange young man so longed to be
among the resurrected,
He thought to be a man of God,
but he had been rejected
by a Christian brute squad,
With their King James lingo,
And their sanctified bods;
His want to be a godly man was real
as God who'd given him his
"special brand" of common zeal,
But he sailed among a ship of fools,
Diamond confessions without bowing down
to secrecies and taboo,
Or ruses of any
using heaven as a weapon
for self-serving, man-made rules,
 Then having nothing valued - celebrity or loot,
He opened up his loving mouth,
To insert boot...
 ...the task was hard to turn from wrong,
To look past Them to see the Light,
For as on any ship of fools,
there among religious crews,
They said he could do nothing
Right
